Best Sales Role Play Tools in 2026: An Honest Comparison
A plain English look at sales role play tools including LSR Coach, Hyperbound, Convaira, Second Nature, and Gong, with pricing, free options, and who each one fits.
How we compared them
We build LSR Coach, so read this with that in mind. Everything below comes from the vendors' public websites as of August 2026 — we checked their pricing pages and product pages directly. Where a vendor doesn't publish pricing, we say so instead of guessing.
The short version
| Tool | Pricing | Free option | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| LSR Coach | $20/mo Pro · $49/mo Team (6 seats) · $225/mo Sales Org | Free browser drill, no signup · 30-day trial | Reps and small teams who want daily practice plus live-call cues |
| Hyperbound | Free tier · enterprise Practice/Perform plans (sales call for pricing) | Free tier, no-signup demo | Teams that want a big library of prebuilt roleplays |
| Convaira | $49–$199/seat/mo (published tiers) | Trial | Teams that want roleplay bundled with broader enablement |
| Second Nature | Not published | Demo on request | Enterprise enablement programs |
| Gong Trainer | Not published · platform contract | Demo on request | Enterprise teams already paying for Gong's call recording |
LSR Coach
Our product, so we'll keep it factual. Practice drills against simulated buyer personas with scorecards out of 100, 12 built-in scenarios, voice role-play, and live-call cues during real conversations. Managers get a team dashboard showing who practiced and what to fix.
Pricing is public: Pro at $20/month, Team at $49/month with 6 seats included, Sales Org at $225/month with 15 seats. The demo drill runs in your browser with no account — three replies against a simulated buyer, then a scorecard.
Hyperbound
Hyperbound offers 45 prebuilt role plays and a genuinely free tier, plus a no-signup demo on their site. Their paid product splits into Practice and Perform enterprise plans, with live-call coaching available as an add-on, and pricing that requires talking to their sales team.
Good fit if you want a large scenario library and are comfortable with an enterprise buying process for the full product.
Convaira
Convaira publishes per-seat pricing at $49 to $199 per seat per month depending on tier (we've seen promotional pricing as low as $25/seat). It bundles roleplay with a broader enablement feature set, which is more than some teams need and exactly what others want.
Second Nature
Second Nature has offered sales role play for years and sells into enterprise enablement programs. They don't publish pricing, so expect a sales-led evaluation.
Gong Trainer
Gong includes a trainer for practicing conversations against a dynamic buyer persona. It's part of Gong's broader revenue platform — call recording, deal intelligence, forecasting — which means enterprise contracts and no public pricing. If you already pay for Gong, it's worth turning on. If you only want roleplay practice, you're buying a platform to get a feature.
Which should you pick
If you're an individual rep or a small team that wants to start practicing today with public pricing, try a free drill first — ours or Hyperbound's — and see which feedback style helps you more. If you're running an enterprise enablement program with procurement involved, Second Nature and Gong are built for that process.
Whatever you pick, the tool matters less than the habit: ten minutes of practice a day beats any feature list.
